5th Grade News

Our last week of school before Christmas break.  Hard to believe!  Lots of things going on this week as well!

Just a reminder, there is no chapel this Monday, December 16.  Chapel will be on Friday, December 20.

This Monday, December 16 from 9:45-11:00 AM, our 5th grade will be touring the jail for their final DARE activity.  Make sure to wear your DARE shirt!

The 5th grade has their Ch. 3 US History Test this Tuesday, December 17.

The Student Council is sponsoring some fun dress-up days for this week:

Monday – Christmas Headwear Day

Tuesday – Christmas Explosion Day (pull out the ugly sweaters or wear a lot of Christmas)

Wednesday – Dress Up as Your Favorite Christmas Movie Character

Thursday – Christmas PJ Day

Friday – Christmas Best Day (chapel)

There was a note that went home before Thanksgiving Break about our Christmas plans for the last day of school.  As you saw, the class chose a “Secret Santa” gift exchange.  Feel free to send in your gift with your child anytime until this Thursday, December 19.  We will also be playing some games in the afternoon before our gift exchange.  Let me know if you have any questions.

On the last day of school before Christmas Break we traditionally have our Geography Bee.  Representing our 5th grade this year will be Alayna Sprengel & Marley Warren with Hunter Toppe as an alternate if needed.  Congratulations!  The Geography Bee starts at 1:00 in the gym.  All are welcome to attend!

If I don’t have the opportunity to see you before Christmas break, I wish you all a blessed Christmas & a very happy & healthy New Year!
